My expectations were that I would work hard but still have fun. My favorite part of the trip was cooking. My least favorite part of the trip was the cold. It was REALLY cold. Another thing I liked was the atmosphere. It gives me a TRUE understanding of how awesome God really is.

Rasheed

I thought it would be harder and more strenuous. My favorite part was when I was at the top of Big Crow and seeing all the giant mountains. I really did not have a least favorite part. The whole trip was awesome. Just by seeing the mountains and how big they are, made me understand how awesome and loving God is at the same time. It also taught me that I should work as a team not just in the mountains but also at home with my Grandmom. Also, I should slow down and help others in need.

Robert

A trip I will not forget

This was definitely a trip I will not forget. When I started I had some expectations about the trip. It turned out that those expectations were far different from reality. I thought it would be warm but it was freezing cold. I thought we would go up hills but instead we climbed mountains. I thought it would be easy but instead it was extremely hard. So in total I was mentally unprepared for this trip.

Even though the trip was hard, I had a lot of fun. One thing I liked was that before we even started, Mr. Cooper took us to get new boots and showed us how to use all the equipment. Another thing that I really liked was how everyone on the trip helped me get through every stop of those six miles and that they encouraged me the entire time. There are many other things that I liked; however, after we finished the hike, Mr. Cooper treated us by renting a gorgeous cabin. It was a hard hike but I had a great time.

This trip was fun but there were some things that I did not like about it. One of those things was that the whole time I was freezing cold (but mostly it was my fault that I was cold). Another reason I did not like it was that it showed me how weak I was compared to everyone else on the trip. The final reason I did not like it was that everyone forced me to eat what they said was “healthy” and gives me “energy”. It made em feel sick.

In conclusion, after all the ups and downs, the trip helped me physically and mentally. I was completely wrong this trip and it showed me the magnitude of God, creation and all that is in it. In the end, I thought that this was a great trip.

Xavier
